Know who you’re calling
What does their business do?
How are they doing? Any recent news, events?
Who do you want to talk to?
Know more => Better message => Warmer call => Better % Sales
Craft your message to make talking to you worth their time
Interesting & intriguing to get attention
Show your interest in their business – see if from their side
Know your outcome, focus your message to get it
Match => Rapport => Willingness to talk
If calling a list, start with the suspect that you care about least
Lets you get momentum, practice with message
Pay close attention to how the one who answers sounds
Voice pitch, speech rate
Better listening => Better call results
Really listen
More “Ask” than “Tell” – Nobody wants to hear a “sales pitch”
